Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I Meet You Before You Babysit?
Yes, I visit families prior to babysitting for the first time. Please complete a registration form and once I have received that, I will contact you to arrange a suitable date/time to meet you and your children.

  • Which Towns/Villages Do You Babysit In?
I babysit in towns and villages around the Surrey/Berkshire and North Hampshire border. This includes: Ascot, Bisley, Camberley, Chobham, Crowthorne, Deepcut, Englefield Green, Farnborough, Frimley, Knaphill, Lightwater, Sunningdale, Virginia Water, Wentworth Estate, Windlesham, parts of Woking. Please complete a registration form and I will check your postcode is in my coverage area.
  • I need a sitter for triplets (3 babies), can you help?
Yes, I have experience of caring for multiple-births. Twins usually, but no reason why triplets would not be possible. Unlike some baby sitters, I do not limit the number of children under the age of three that I care for.
  • As a baby sitter, do you have a police check?
Yes, I have an Enhanced CRB check, carried out by Ofsted. I am a Ofsted Registered Nanny and have my Enhanced CRB check updated yearly. You can view recent CRB checks, when I meet your family.
  • Baby Sitters agencies usually charge a Membership Fee, do I need to pay a membership fee to use your service?
No, I am not a baby sitters agency and thus I do not charge any membership fee.
  • What is your minimum charge?
The minimum charge is 3 hours, which is £ 30.
  • What happens if I arrive home part-way through an hour?
My childcare fees are per-hour, therefore I expect you to round-up to the next whole hour. Eg. 7pm to 10.20pm would be charged the same as 7pm to 11pm
  • Can I check your references?
Yes, when I meet your family, I bring my portfolio of references with me which you can view. If you would like to speak with a family for whom I already provide childcare, this can be arranged.
  • Are you a Registered Childminder?
No, a childminder works from their own home. I do not provide childcare at my home, therefore I am not a Childminder. I provide childcare at your home, thus I am a Registered Nanny, registered under the Ofsted Childcare Register.
  • Do you provide daytime childcare?
I work as nanny for a local family on weekdays during school term time. Therefore I am only able to provide daytime childcare at weekends and during school holidays.
  • Will you care for children with special needs?
Please contact me to discuss your child's care plan. I care for several children who are on the autistic spectrum, providing evening babysitting and occasional daytime care.
  • I am going to a wedding. Can you care for my child at the hotel?
No. I only provide childcare on residential premises - that is, at the child's own home. Please contact the hotel at which you are due to stay with regard to babysitting services.
  • I have a question not answered above
Please send me an e-mail and I will be delighted to answer your childcare question.
