Nick's Babysitting Service is different from babysitting agencies. I am a qualified and experienced nanny and I provide all the childcare myself. Therefore if you are a babysitter or nanny looking for a job, I am afraid that I cannot be of help to you personally. However, you will find helpful information about other babysitting and nanny websites at which you may be able to find a babysitting or nanny job.

You can find babysitting jobs by looking at Nanny job websites and general recruitment websites. There are also some national babysitting agencies who will accept applications from experienced childcarers - such as Sitters and Safe Hands Network.

To work as a babysitter in the UK, parents and babysitting agencies will expect you to have formal childcare training, First Aid training, a criminal records check (CRB Check), plus lots of references from families for whom you have babysat.

Nanny Jobs

The best websites I have found for nanny jobs are: NannyJob.co.uk and NannySelect.co.uk. NannyJob has many listings from both nanny agencies and from private families.

However if you want to work locally, I would suggest that you contact local nanny agencies, as parents looking for a nanny will often contact a local agency. Some families are now only doing recruitment online - via websites such as Gumtree and NannyJob, so to keep your options open, register with some local agencies and keep an eye on nanny internet recruitment sites.
