Nick first started looking after our children 5 years ago when they were aged 2 and 4.
We have a boy and a girl and Nick always caters for both of them. Nick is professional, kind, caring and extremely competent and his first aid and other qualifications gave us great comfort when we first used Nick. Both children enjoy having Nick take care of them.
Nick is always willing to go the extra mile. He arrives early and will stay as late as necessary. And when we moved house a few years ago, Nick took the children off our hands for the day, thirty minutes after we made an emergency plea to him! Nick really connects with the kids and does things that will entertain them. He has treated our children to visits to museums, parks, skate-parks, play areas and even taught them how to bake cookies and make their own play dough!
Last year we went away for our first weekend without the children. Nick looked after the kids (and two dogs!) at our house so they remained in familiar surroundings and they had a wonderful time. We do not have any family in the UK so Nick has turned out to be a lifesaver at times.
It is difficult to find someone that you can trust to look after your children and that you feel comfortable leaving them with. Nick is one of those people. He is one of the few that we would allow to drive our children about and we are completely confident that he is fully equipped and prepared to deal with any emergency that may arise.
Nick comes with our highest recommendation. He is honest, reliable and fantastic with the children. Using Nick's Babysitting Services is one of the best decisions we have made.

My husband and I had only ever had one friend look after our son (aged 5) at their home and we thought it best to get a babysitter at ours, rather. When I contacted Nick initially, he offered to come to our home to meet us before we made a decision whether to ask him to babysit our son or not. It was a very big decision for me and my husband to make (we have no family close by to help out), but it was soon clear that we could not have made a better choice. We first met Nick a year ago. At the time, we were looking for a babysitter for a whole day as we were invited to a wedding. Our children, aged 4 years and 3 months at the time, had never been looked after by anyone other than family, and we therefore needed to find someone totally reliable to look after them for the day.

We met Nick a year ago, just before our twins were born as we needed to find someone with twin experience to help out occasionally and babysit in the evenings.
Over the years I had heard about Nick, and I'd seen him in the area childminding for other families. Nick was my first choice because his reputation was excellent, nobody could fault him.
When we began looking for a babysitter my main concern was making sure my 4 year old was happy. I have twin 3 year old boys, one of whom is autistic and has a congenital defect relating to his bladder. Neither boy had (when we first met Nick) been looked after by anyone other than their Great Grandmother or half sisters. I was a little worried as to how they would react and respond to him; but before Nick could take his shoes off he had been presented with half of the toy box! I had nothing more to worry about!
Nick is always punctual, polite and the children love him. Praising Nick too highly will mean that his schedule will be even more difficult to slot into - but he deserves that! Good childminding, babysitting, call it what you will is very hard to find, and Nick is by far the best.

Nick has been employed by us from 1 September 2005 to 31 August 2008. During that time he has had the sole charge of our four children, from the ages of 6 weeks to 9 years. Nick has been a very capable and reliable nanny; he is a mature and responsible, caring person who is very confident of using his own judgement and acting on his own initiative to provide the best childcare possible. He invariably arrives early and leaves late, and he has voluntarily given up his own time to take the children on birthday outings or other treats.
Nick has been unfazed by any of the challenges presented by a large and lively family. He copes well with sick children, minor accidents and injuries, keeping us informed when necessary but very capable of dealing with most eventualities without needing assistance. He has provided our children with a wide range of stimulating and enjoyable activities, both at home and on outings (to parks, beaches, museums, toddler groups, swimming, gymnastics, etc.) He is an excellent source of information about family-friendly places within our local area, and he makes very efficient use of the small budget he is given to spend on the children.
We have always found Nick very flexible, being willing to stay late in an emergency and provide weekend or evening care on request. He can also turn his hand to most domestic tasks: washing, sewing on name labels, sourcing items of school uniform, and even simple plumbing, rewiring and IT support! Nick was invaluable after the birth of our youngest child, and he has played a significant part in our children's formative experiences. He has taken our older children to school and collected them at the end of the day, and he has accompanied us to taster days, sports fixtures and various other events.
Nick is not just an extremely dependable, efficient and entirely trustworthy nanny: he takes a genuine interest in children and their development as individuals. He is firm but fair, and seems to possess endless patience. In three years he has never taken any sickness absence. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have had Nick for all this time; our children love him and will miss him very much. We would have liked to keep him for longer but he has made the decision it is time to move on.
