Meeting Families Before Babysitting
For many years now I have had a policy of meeting families prior to providing childcare.
If I were a young child, I would not like to be left with a stranger. I also feel that parents are more reassured if they have met their babysitter prior to the first night of babysitting.
I take time to visit your family, to chat about your childcare requirements and interact with your children. When I babysit for the first time, I am no longer a stranger to the children, they know who I am and thus are more relaxed. Arrange to meet me.
