During school term time you may not need daytime childcare but what happens during the School Holidays? Do you use all your annual leave to care for your children during the school holiday, or would it suit you better to have a reliable daytime nanny who could care for your children for one day, two days, three days, four days or all week during school holidays?

Nick has been employed a Nanny to our three children (aged 4, 5 and 6) from the 2nd August 2004 until he left when the youngest started school (September 2005).
We employed Nick for three 10-hour days per week during this period.
We have found Nick to be extremely reliable and he has a 100% attendance record and was never late.
He prepared their meals and looked after them during term time (taking and collecting the older two from school) and during the school holidays.
Our sons and daughter clearly enjoyed being looked after by Nick and he instigated creative ways of entertaining them, creating models and pictures when at home with them and taking them to places of interest on a regular basis, identifying their own interests and arranging visits to places such as railway museums and orienteering centres.

During the times that Nick has worked for us, we have found him to be very punctual, reliable and friendly. It is obvious that he genuinely enjoys being with the children and my two particularly boisterous boys certainly do not faze him!
He organises outings with the children in mind, taking them on interesting walks, to a play park and to see the trains. During every time we have employed him, our children have regaled us with tales of the things they have done together which is wonderful as they haven't missed their parents being around at all!
